Common Specifications Of Galvanized Metal Mesh Sheets

Jan 13, 2026 Leave a message

Galvanized metal mesh sheets are made from low-carbon steel. During production, they are first formed by automated spot welding, and then treated with hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing for corrosion protection. From the surface, they appear as sheet-like metal mesh. Strict quality control ensures accurate dimensions, strong welds, and easy installation. They are a standard core material in construction, industry, aquaculture, security, and other fields. We believe that with our continuous innovation, more overseas friends will be able to use galvanized metal mesh sheets.

If galvanized metal mesh sheets are classified, they can be divided into three categories based on the diameter of the galvanized wire and its load-bearing capacity: light-duty, heavy-duty, and special-purpose. The main specifications are as follows: Light-duty welded galvanized wire mesh: wire diameter 0.8–2.0mm, mesh size 12.7×12.7mm (1/2 inch), 25×25mm, 30×30mm, mesh size 1×2m, 1.2×2.4m, 1.5×3m. We require weld tensile strength ≥200N, mesh uniformity error ≤±1%, and flatness deviation ≤3mm/m². Mainly used for chick and rabbit cage mesh.
Heavy-duty welded galvanized wire mesh: wire diameter 2.0–6.0mm, mesh size 50×50mm, 100×100mm, 100×150mm, mesh size 1… 0.5×3m, 2×3m, and 2×4m wire meshes are required for use in industrial isolation, outdoor security, and heavy-duty protection applications. These meshes must have a tensile strength ≥450MPa, a single wire load-bearing capacity ≥500kg, and meet the required adhesion of the hot-dip galvanized layer. Special galvanized metal meshes: wire diameter 6–12mm, mesh size 100×100mm–200×200mm, mesh sizes 2×4m and 3×6m. They are made of threaded steel wire, firmly spot-welded, and have high compressive strength, primarily used for concrete reinforcement.

Galvanized Metal Mesh Sheets

The delivery time for custom-made galvanized metal mesh sheets depends on the complexity of the customization, order quantity, galvanizing process, and logistics method. Below is a detailed table outlining these factors:

type Specifications and features Delivery period Remark
Standard customization Standard sizes, mesh sizes, wire diameters, and hot-dip galvanizing production processes 5-10 days Applicable to general processes such as welded wire mesh and woven wire mesh
Complex customization Special sizes, irregular mesh shapes, curved shapes, folded edges, thick zinc coating 10-18 days Includes mold adjustment and process testing, such as for curtain wall mesh and irregularly shaped protective mesh
Small batch trial order <500 pieces, standard process 3-7 days Flexible production lines are prioritized for production scheduling
Large volume orders >5000 pieces, custom specifications 15-30 days Coordination of raw material procurement and production capacity allocation is required
Urgent orders Standard specifications, expedited production 2-4 days An expedited fee is required, and priority access to the production line is guaranteed

Delivery time for customized galvanized metal mesh sheets can be effectively controlled through "clear parameters + selecting the right supplier + optimizing logistics". For regular orders, it is recommended to allow 7-15 days, and for export orders, 30-45 days (including sea freight). Urgent needs can be compressed to 2-3 days through expedited services, but this requires balancing cost and production capacity limitations.

Before customization, communicate with the manufacturer to determine the required specifications and models; the most suitable option is the best.
